Melissa Wohlers LCSW

(she/her/hers)

Licensed Clinical Social Worker

Melissa is a licensed clinical social worker dedicated to helping individuals and couples navigate the complexities of their emotional and mental health with compassion, curiosity, and evidence-based care. I hold Level One training in Internal Family Systems (IFS) and the Gottman Method of Couples Therapy, and I am fully trained in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) and Inference based CBT (I-CBT).

My clinical focus includes working with individuals struggling with eating disorders and Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD) and anxiety disorders, where I integrate IFS, EMDR, and I-CBT to address both the underlying emotional systems and symptom-driven behaviors. I also provide support for those experiencing mood disorders, ADHD, anxious attachment, BPD, and relationship challenges.

I strive to create a safe, collaborative space where clients feel empowered to explore their internal world and move toward lasting change. Whether we're working through trauma, intrusive thoughts, or relationship dynamics, I aim to tailor therapy to each client's unique needs using a blend of insight-oriented and skills-based approaches.
